In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Gucci said that the glasses would help the iPhone 7 and 7s Plus handle heavy glasses and other heavy objects.
The company’s glasses are made with an aluminum alloy that’s more durable than the hard glass that’s used in the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.
The glasses, which are priced at $1,199 and $1 (around £969), are currently available for pre-order on the Gucci website.
The company says they’ll ship to customers on September 27.
Gucci has also confirmed that the new glasses will be compatible with the iPhone’s new facial recognition technology.
That facial recognition feature will make it easier for people to scan QR codes to unlock their phones and unlock apps.
Guccis glasses will come with a special adhesive backing, which is designed to make them look like they’re attached to the device’s casing, making them less susceptible to breaking.
GuCCI glasses will ship in September for $1.199 and include a special, “Gucci-branded” adhesive backing.
GuCi is a brand of Gucci Group, which also includes the Guikara brand, as well as other brands.
Gucci and Guikareca both make sunglasses.
