Glasser, an employee of NikkiGlasser.com, is a local glass maker who has built up a successful reputation.
She has been open to opening her own store, but she and her husband, John, are currently working on a more permanent solution.
“I am trying to do the best I can with what I have,” Glasser said.
“It has been tough.
I’m sure there are other people that have the same issue.
I just need to do everything I can to try to find the solution.”
The couple have been building a business around their glass products.
In 2015, Glasser opened her first store in a glass shop on the corner of Route 9 and Interstate 25.
She and her partner have been in business since and have had their doors repaired and installed by local contractors.
She’s now making the transition from a shop to an online business and is hoping that will lead to a more successful return.
“We just want to get a lot of people coming back to the shop, to our store and to the store,” Glassner said.
She said that, in order to keep her business afloat, she needs to be patient.
She said she has been trying to find new ways to do business, but has found it difficult.
“It takes a while for the glass industry to really come around,” she said.
“Glass can be one of the most expensive things to build a business from,” she added.
“You need to have a really good business plan and know where you are and know what you are building.
If you have a plan, then you can get a business off the ground.”
John Glasser also wants to get more people in the industry.
He said that in order for the business to be sustainable, it has to be accessible.
“This is something that is really important to me, that I want people to come to this shop,” he said.
Glasser said that the majority of the people that come to her shop are people who are from outside of North Carolina.
“When people come in here, they see the doors and they say ‘oh my gosh, this is cool,'” she said, “I don’t want people coming in here with this mentality that they don’t need to be here.”
“The biggest thing is to be able to offer that service and be accessible to people who can’t afford the cost of owning a business,” she continued.
NikkiGlassers website offers customers the opportunity to see what is available in North Carolina glass.
Customers can also purchase products through their store and shop online.
The website also includes links to other Glasser products and other local businesses.
